My motto is: “Live to eat.” I would say I have a good relationship with food despite what my mom says about the size of my thighs.
During my trip to Kuala Lumpur some weeks ago, I had the chance to indulge my appetite and my ever expanding waist with good food. Really good (and cheap) food.

I was born and raised in Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Sabah. I’ve always been fiercely proud of being a Sabahan. In fact, I think myself as a Sabahan first, a Malaysian second.
Where is Sabah and where is KK (pronounced keh-keh in our local accent)? It is in the northern part of Borneo–the third largest island in the world. The second largest state in Malaysia.

I was inspired by The Traveling Writer’s post on writing a bucket list. She said it’s not just a list of goals but of dreams.
Unfortunately, I’ve never gotten around to writing a bucket list, mainly because I was afraid of disappointing myself by not crossing out every one of the wish.
Happy Chinese New Year! AirAsia gave me some surprise angpow packets–nice touch considering it’s a budget airline.
I found the staff canteen at Terminal 1 of Changi Airport. Food here is local and cheaper than the restaurants at the airport. (Actually, airport food here isn’t as inflated as other countries.)
I’ll be home for a week to rest/eat/spend time with family. To be honest, I didn’t bring any new clothes with me (not that I have much to begin with). The red (festive) dress I have with me is about three years old!!

The first time I had Vietnamese coffee was in My Tho, the hometown of N. Before the trip, I was already a coffee junkie, requiring one cup of coffee with milk each day or else I’ll feel a headache coming up.
Before the trip, I’ve read about Vietnamese coffee. Butter roasted, dripped through a metal filter into condensed milk. I figured it would taste the same as the regular coffee in Malaysia or Singapore since we use condensed milk too.
I waited for the cup of coffee to finish filtering and stirred in my condensed milk.
